Title: Expensive games...
Post by: Janzl on April 03, 2010, 09:15:33 AM
There is an Atari Air Raid game going for a decent price on eBay at the moment:

Which brought me to a nice link about expensive video games:

Nice read! I'm going to check my cellar now ;)

If you disapppear without a trace Janzl,we can assume that you found a few very rare games. ;)

Then again you see Videopac 4 listed on ebay as very rare, does that count. >:D

makes me wonder how much my "mission survive" cart for the a2600 is worth, since it wasn't released in big numbers. Haven't seen one on ebay for a long time.

High rarity. I'd say at this point in time, around $100+

Reading that article, I'm pretty sure that item will go much higher than the US$10k it has currently reached. I wouldn't be surprised if that heads for the 40k mark.

Info on that game on AtariAge is very little. They haven't even set the rarity for it yet.

Digital Press rates its a 8 (out of 10), making it fairly rare.

people are just going nuts since that other high priced game.

Looks for Quest for the RIngs. Average now when I search is around $100+ (some buy it nows for $300)!!!! I would sell my brand new one for $25. It is not worth $100+

Some people just have money to burn, to have that unique item.  :o

I just completed my Sega 32X PAL collection, however for the last 3 i had to buy VERY expensive , but perfect, reproductions.

Otherwise, these would be the prices i had to pay :S :
- Darxide  (2000-5000 eu)
- Primal Rage (11000eu +)
- T-Mek (9000 eu +)

Since i'm a completist, I do have a whole bunch of other rare/expensive stuff in my other game collections though.

If you can find one!  They do seem to pop up every few years.

I can't afford one at this point in my life, but it's always interesting to see what they go for.

Is ~12 or so still the number of existing Odyssey 3 consoles believed to exist?

I'm already glad just to see some Ody3 pictures and technical details. Is it the same hardware as the G7400?

Not exactly. The Plus graphics part is similar to the G7400 (although they've used different memory chips). The other part is similar to the Odyssey2. And an important difference is of course the extension port at the backside of the console. The Odyssey3 doesn't have a built-in power supply like the G7400.
