Title: NEW RELEASE: GOSUB 2
Post by: timdu on July 15, 2014, 12:42:07 PM
JULY 15, 2014

2600 Connection is proud to release GOSUB 2 for the Odyssey 2 / Videopac system.

Here is a description of the gameplay:
After hearing about more treasure on a nearby coast, you hop in your trusty
submarine and take off. The treasures are still located in caverns of coral,
so you'll have to be careful in the 20 levels of undersea action in this game!
Take control of your submarine as
you travel through the caverns in search
of the exit. Oh no! You seem to have
attracted the attention of one of the
local denizens - a giant octopus! He
pursues you from level to level. Your
submarine is armed with a torpedo.
It's too small to kill the octopus,
but it will drive him away for a short
while. Can you make your way to safety?
Or will you find your final resting place
under the sea? Best of luck in your quest for riches!

GOSUB 2 was programmed by Chris Read. Chris is also the programmer and
designer of GOSUB! for the Odyssey 2 / Videopac system.
(GOSUB! was also published by the 2600 Connection and quickly sold out
in the summer of 2012.)

The price of the game is $25 (U.S. dollars) and shipping. ($6 for USA addresses, $15 everywhere else in the world)

A manual is included as well as a clear plastic storage box.
A limited run of 100 boxed, serial-numbered cartridges of GOSUB 2 have been produced.
The cartridges are compatible with both NTSC and PAL systems.

Yesterday I receive my copy. Thank you very much Tim.

So, what can I say? The first Gosub makes a lot of fun. And Gosub2 is fun again: Fun2 !

If you loose, you play it again and again. Is it ok, when I say I hate octopus? The torpedos are a good idea and help you sometimes. For Gosub3 I wish to get a forcefield and all around laser :D

The cover looks very good, also the back side.

Again a wonderful 2600 connection release. Keep it up.
