Hey Manopac, you have to take the credit  Smiley I only quickly scanned down my list of videopacs to expand on your idea, it only took me 4 minutes after you to post!

I'll pick Take the Emulator and Run!. Going to open to project page tonight (though there should be a delay until BerliOS approves it).

Thanks for all the suggestions so far!

The BerliOS staff hasn't approved the project yet. If I recall correctly, it takes a whole workday, and since I filed the request on friday night, I believe I'll receive an answer tomorrow.

Ok, all set, click here for the project page.

No binaries yet, though. I'll port it to Windows when I'm done implementing OpenGL support. If you guys feel brave, give it a shot (it probably won't compile without a couple of hiccups in Windows).

The screenshots looks good. I haven?t certain, but i think, like in the o2em, the rigth side is cutted. BTW: Is backgammon running, I?ll wait the win version to try it.

All those games run great in O2EM, only some minor timing glitches in Chez Maxime, I think.

No, Backgammon isn't working yet, probably because of this weird bug that's causing the CPU to run much slower than the VDC in some games (probably related to interrupts). I expect that once that bug is squashed, almost all games will be playable.

I rewrote the ttear website in PHP, divided it into sections. I'll set up a compatibility database in the next few days, but I guess more than 60% of the games are playable already (at least in PAL mode, which works around the CPU-slower-than-VDC bug for many games).

I ported it to Windows (it was much easier than I thought, to be honest), if anyone is interested, I can post the binaries somewhere. I'm not officially releasing those binaries yet, though, for a number of reasons.

Cool, I uploaded it to RapidShare, here it is.

You might want to create a batch file like this:

Code:
@echo off
"C:\full\path\to\ttear" -b "C:\full\path\to\biosfile" -c "C:\full\path\to\ttear.ini" %1

Use the extension .bat and then just drag and drop the rom you want to run on the .bat file in Explorer.

I'll release builds on the project page when the emulator is more mature.

I've done a few test with ttear:

- The quad cut doesn't seem to work properly yet.
- when I move a sprite with the joystick, it always takes steps of 6 pixels.
- I don't seem to be able to use the '?' or '+' keys (to get the corresponding symbols on the screen).
- could you make it more "laptop-friendly" by using the normal ENTER key instead of the "enter" key from the numerical keypad?
