Anyone dealt with the 3DO system from a while back? I've been thinking of dabbling in it, just 'cause it is an underdog system.

Just curious if anyone here has had experience with the 3DO system and games!?

No, to bad. I want one to, because it was an underdog machine. That's why i love my cd-i so much.
When i got more cash next year, i'm going to hunt for one.
On youtube there is a lot of reviews for the system. Maybe you could check there.
Also on atariage.com forums there's a lot of talk about the 3do.

I've got this model: http://www.gameconsoles.com/3dohome.htm

Have to say it's an alright system, I don't have that many games for it but what I do have was not at all bad - have a look here for reviews etc:  http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/3do/

I came very close to picking one up at a flea market for $60 last weekend.  Next time I go I'll have to see if it is still for sale.  I think it came with 5 or 6 games plus joystick, power and video cables.  It was the Panasonic version that looks like a vcr from the outside.  I'm not sure which version is more collectable.  They are all pretty hard to find in the wild.

For 60$ i would have bought it right away. I once hesitated to buy a sega 32x for 60 euro. It came with 2 games and a model 2 megadrive, with all cables. I went back the next week, only to see somebody buy it right under neat my nose.
