Today i went to Maarssen to a meeting. Bought 2 games one for the lynx, gauntlet and one for the jaguar, brutal sports football.
Met a few people from a other forum. Had a nice chat with mr-atari.
After i left i went to a thrift store on the way back home. To my big surprise i found 2 videopacs and about 10 games. All common games that i already have. But the second videopac i found was a boxed on with detachable joysticks and seperate power adapter. The joysticks have a db9 connector and are duo coloured. Top black bottom yellowish white. The hole where the joystick is, is square instead of the star pattern found on most g7000s.
It is the first time i see this. Did some of you already know this version.

Yes! It seems to me that this joystick came with oldest videopac version such as G7000/00 and C52/00. I've got 4 joystick like this one.

Yes, I've got one joystick which looks like that, but it's not on a picture on my homepage yet.

To bad there weren't any videopacs on display. Most consoles where mastersystem and up. Only Ren? Lips had some old nintendo consoles, a philips tv with built in pong, and a 2001 compatible system on display. He also had a casio loopy and a bandai playdia on display. Unfortunately not hook up.

I have an odd detachable controller with the same DB9 connector, it has a red action button, and everything else is black except a dark brown cord, and the bottom circular piece directly under the joystick is a lighter brown.

I wonder how many Odyssey2/Videopac joystick variations exist, especially color variations.

These are the variations I currently have:

Technically those two in the upper left are Odyssey3 joysticks.  If you ever want to gid rid of them let me know Wink

I think I might have an Odyssey2 joystick to add to the variation list.  I'll check this weekend.
