Hi!

Which are the other differences between versions VP and O2 of FROGGER?

1)The first one is the wink of the frog on the title screen...

VP X O Frogger


1)The trucks are different.
2)In VP version the player needs to jump in the "homes" are the blue area, in Br version are the green blocks. When you get home in VP version a frog face will appear in the screen, while in the O version a green block will disappear.
3) The alligators in VP version are ships while in the O version are planes.
4) VP version 2 kinds of music (intro and new high score), O version only one (intro).
5) The word hiscore on openning screen is replaced by Recorde (portuguese)
6) The snake on VP version is formed by two sprites, in O version onle one.
7) I  played the VP version few times, but I fell it have a more difficulty gameplay.
Things I not sure:
a) The O version in level 5 and higher the fly is poisoned (you can´t eat it). I don´t remember it on VP version.
b) Levels 6 and higher on the VP version have only diving turtles, I can´t remember if it´s the same on the O version (I guess not)

I still think someone should get the a full-dump of all carts going one day ... especially all the brazilian ones to check for differences to the european ones, but even the US ones are often quite different ... anybody up for doing a properly labled TOSEC of Rene's rom-archive ?

I also think in O version you can choose if you want to play using l or r control, while in Vpac version is not possible (again, not sure)
