Or.. If you could find/have a multistandard TV with a SCART socket you can use a RGB modded G7400 or a French G7401 (has the RGB output as standard)

From what I have read is the power supply might be a problem on 110/120 Volts.
In one of my defunct G7400s I replaced the original power supply with one of an external harddisk (a 12 and 5 Volts 'brick'). It can handle the light load of the G7400 with ease. But of course you can also use a small 110 to 220 Volt transformer (15 to 20 Watts is enough)

I suppose I could order an LCD display capable of displaying a PAL signal and have it sent to the US.  I'm not sure how much that would cost though.  As for the power I believe they have adapters for the difference but I would have to be sure it is of high quality.

There is another way to get a PAL (or NTSC) signal to a LCD panel:

Several manufacturers produce small boxes to which you can connect a PAL/NTSC composite signal and which emit a VGA signal in a selected resolution.

At my work we use such a device to view the output of our surveillance system (PAL) on a VGA monitor (4:3) It works quite well.

Our device is made (well.. sold) by Koenig and the model is SEC-VGA11
It costs in the Netherlands about 60 Euros.

You can use any old LCD (or even a VGA CRT monitor)
