ok ... so you have one USB controller plugged in ?

o2em is configured currently to use auto-detection of joysticks, so if one joystick is plugged in, it should use the joystick for Joystick 1 and keyset 1 for Joystick 2 (unplugging the joystick while O2EM is running wouldn't change anything, cause the autodetection runs when o2em starts - try starting o2em WITHOUT the joystick plugged in and you can use Space/A-D-W-S)

but if you use a joystick, you don't even have to press num-lock to activate the joysticks, just press the fire button - if it does not work, just press F7 (swaps joystick 1 and 2) and try again - if your joystick works in other games, then it should definitly work in C7420 emulation, too ...

Just one controller plugged in.
F7 did the trick, thanks!! Smiley  Wink Cool

You can also swap the joystick input by changing the lines:

01200 A=ACTION(1) AND 1

02310 C=ACTION(1)

into

01200 A=ACTION(0) AND 1

02310 C=ACTION(0)

Have fun!

Great score, great game. One good strategy for this one is not "kill" the Martian!

Two different versions of Martian Threat exist. One is easier than the other. Dieter has released the less-easy version, because that proto looked to be a later version than the other one.
If you play the easier version of the game, you should start the game by pressing button '5' for a fair competition with other players.

@ Rafael, the version you played was the ship hard to control?

For me on the mhack_pl.bin the slightest touch and the ship takes off and becomes hard to control.
My best on game 5 on the Europe Proto Alt bin was 303

To me the "alt" version seems unfinished. I played the plus version, but I can?t tell what number I pressed Huh?

I think i should list 2 high scores for this game.
Even when i press 1 on the mhack_pl.bin the ship is hard to control.
