Looks like a sweat project. But i think it would be nicer if you fit a real crt monitor inside it. I know of those philips videotex terminals, and they use a small crt also. Maybe those are nice for putting inside you're project.

Maybe I will leave the black and white CRT in first.

By dismantling the LCD it will look a lot better, this was just a quick setup with a 8 inch LCD.
A 9 inch LCD would be nice, a 9 inch CRT will probably not fit because of the longer tube and far more complex electronics. I also need to find more G7400 spare parts as you can see this board is quite empty  Smiley

Cannibalize it a bit i see. The Philips videotext modules are a bit smaller then this one, so you could be lucky with the depth of the screen.

Yes, I fixed several machines with the parts of that board, I hope I can find some spare parts at Apeldoorn.

I found this Videotex terminal on markplaats: http://link.marktplaats.nl/528091694

But I have no idea how large the screen is, it looks more square than the tube of the Minitel/N60/G7200 so I' afraid it will look just as odd as a LCD panel..  Smiley

Hmm, I am not convinced if this is a color CRT, although I see a PTC in the lower right corner (for degaussing?)..
The linetransformer seems too small to fit the multiplier stages (or a separate cascade) to generate the much higher voltage (20 to 30 kV instead of 10kV) needed for a color tube.  I also do not see the focus and G2 adjustments which are normally close to the CRT.

I know the black version has color screen. Don't know if the white is color. I know one for sale at a second hand shop, don't know what they ask for it.

I have send the seller on marktplaats an email with the questions how large the CRT is and if it is color or not.

These Minitel terminals are listed many times, often for 10?. Why start with a monitor-less one then?
I was wondering: is it possible to make a HTML->Minitel parser, and turn the Minitel into a modern web-browser with ugly graphics?

At the end of April I guess there will be lots and lots of minitels for sale as Minitel support in France will be officially dropped then.

I was searching for a 9" color CRT system to put in place of the B/W CRT system it has now and drop in a G7400 board to make a N60 like Videopac+ system. Other option is to put in a LCD screen but I only have two different types of 8" screens to spare. The 9" screen I used for the G7400 'laptop' (see http://videopac.nl/forum/index.php?topic=1613.0) will not fit because of the electronics left and right of that screen.
