Two years ago "VideopacBelgium" has found a Service Testcart for the G7400.
http://videopac.nl/forum/index.php?topic=1309.msg14627#msg14627

I'm going to make copies of it with a new PCB. It won't be an official release, no cartridge-label, only a loose cart and a text-only manual. The cart will be available on pre-order only, so I will only make the exact number of carts as the number of names on the pre-order list. The price will be 39 Euro (shipping not included).

Pre-order list:

1. René
2. Bas
3. mjb
4. TomBeck
5. Janzl
6. VideopacBelgium
7. immergruen
8. gertk
9. manopac
10. revivalstudios
11. Ozyr
12. grgh
13. dronspa
14. Tom31
15. Alex
16. Geri
17. Karl
18. Maurice
19. Marc
20. CCC

This is a picture of the PCB of the original G7400 testcart:

How would this differ from the Service Test Cartridge done in 2010?

How would this differ from the Service Test Cartridge done in 2010?

The Service Test Cartridge that was released in 2010 was meant only for the Videopac G7000 console.
(See: http://www.bas-ditta.info/videopac/teksten/stc%20order.htm )
The G7400 testcart has extra tests for the Plus graphics chips of the G7400 console.
(See: http://videopac.nl/forum/index.php?topic=1695.0 )

Another difference is the red display on the cartridge: the G7000 testcart has a standard 7-segment display, the G7400 testcart has two hexadecimal displays.
(See: http://videopac.nl/forum/index.php?topic=1309.msg14670#msg14670 )

There are some hardware differences: the G7000 testcart needed a separate latch for the display, the displays of the G7400 testcart have a built-in latch. The ROM of the G7000 testcart is 2k, the G7400 testcart has an 8k ROM, with an additional latch for bankswitching just like Videopac games 55, 58, 59 and 60.

The 2010 release came with a large manual, I'm not going to do that for the G7400 testcart. The G7000 part of the G7400 testcart is almost the same as the G7000 testcart.

Of course they are, do you know any another display that looks the same?
(I like the TIL311 very much, unfortunately they are not cheap.)

Extra bonus: I'll put the Eprom in a socket. This way you can do your own hardware experiments with this cart if you've got an Eprom programmer. You can do tests with the displays and with the bankswitching. The cart supports 16k games too, so if you want to modify Videopac 59 or 60, you can use this cart to test them. The displays have sockets too.
