Just to refresh my memorie, the programmer of this game, was the same behing Neutron Star, Im asking because the big ship looks like to use the same technics of the "black hole", and I think its a nice effect.

No, this game was not programmed by Graham Thomasson.

His games are Neutron Star, Super Cobra and Robot City.
With Neutron Star and Robot City you can actually see the little logo with his initials at the openingscreens of the games.

The programmer of Terrhawks II is unknown at the moment.

The game was discovered in a collection of prototypes/eproms that I got from Graham.

When I played Terrahawks 2 the first time, I thought I play Neutron Star. I love the graphics from Videopac 55 but I really do not like the ship. But the ship from Terrahawks 2 is much worse. I think, I need a lot of practise to manage the game.

But this game has something that fascinate me. I love Zeldas ship, the soundeffects and the intro.

As we all can read in the interview with Graham Conduit from GST (at the CCC webside), the Philips games division proof every game before release and requested any changes. And I think they wanted changes...

In my opinion, the programmer show Philips his game in Eindhoven and they tested it. But they decided it is to difficult for the kids to flight the ship and it took a lot of time to change the ship-control. And because time costs money, and the Terrahawks license also, they decided to release Attack of the Timelord instead of this Terrahawks.

But this is only my opinion.

Back in 2008, dronspa started this topic:
http://videopac.nl/forum/index.php?topic=666.0

In 1983, Philips had already released TERRAHAWKS (VP+ #51) and had plans to release a TERRAHAWKS 2.
Finally Robbert & Dieter did it 30 years later.

So it was really a sequel. Thanks for the info Marc.

But there were two mistakes in the advertising. Super bee and Terrahawks 2 has no + graphics.

Well, could be that our Videopac 70 was planned as sequel. But could also be that our Videopac 70 is a different game ...  Huh?

Edit: I have changed the text on my website a bit now ...

Recently I got this email:

Quote
I would like to enquire abut purchasing a copy of Terrahawks: The Second
Assault for postage to the UK. I'm actually doing so on behalf of the
Gerry Anderson estate, who are intrigued and impressed by your efforts
to get this game out to people and who are interested in making a short
video about both Videopac games for their website.

I decided to donate a copy of Terrahawks 2 to the Gerry Anderson Tribute fund for Alzheimer research: http://www.gerryanderson.co.uk/the-gerry-anderson-tribute-fund/

A few days ago I received an email from Jamie Anderson, the son of Gerry:

Quote
Hi Dieter,

I understand you are supplying a copy of an unreleased Terrahawks game for review and are allowing your usual fee to be donated to charity.

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you - for allowing access to the copy, and for being so generous with the fee.

With all best wishes,

Jamie

That's really cool and a really nice gesture!

And I am honored that some of my artwork ends up in the collection of the Gerry Anderson Tribute fund for Alzheimer research ;-)

Well done, Dieter!   Kiss

Thanks for sharing this story. Both (Dieter + Janzl) - you could be proud about your release and your place in the Gerry Anderson history.

Wow, only 3 games are still available! This is a very good result for a "only PAL" game.

Is somebody out there, who is looking for an extraordinary genuine Philips Videopac space shooter?  Buy it now or later at evilBay.  Evil

 Cheesy

Nice picture!

Yes, last chance for Terrahawks 2! Who doesn't have one yet?

Three copies available. When they are gone, they are gone.
