This week I founded a nice TDF to buy for my Intv. Dreadnaught is my fav game form my 2nd fav console. Well, I just thinking how this game should look in a G7400/Odyssey3. So I decided by curious to make it (just graphics). Anyway I also curious, just to know, if it should be a possible port Huh? Huh? Huh?

Wow! looks awesome.

Background scrolling won't be smooth I guess. Character jumps instead of real scrolling.

TDF is a beauty game. But I also think it won´t do well on g7400.

I am afraid so but maybe René or any of the other wizzkids will tell us it is possible  Wink.

For the people who don't know the game:

YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qh2qf3HT9w
(just forward to 0:55 to avoid all the blablabla)

You have to defend the earth against huge alien battleships that try to invade our space.
To defeate the ships you have to destroy all cannons, fuel depots and whatnot. When you disable its engines it will stop flying towards earth and give you more time to finish it off.

It's a really great game for the Intellivision but unfortunately it is one of the only two intellivision games that won't play on a PAL console. So at the moment I can only play it on an emulator. I want to buy an NTSC console but price + USA shipping is just a little to high for me.

Cool Game!

Would be hard to pull off without VP+ graphics (which update very slowly) or have a severely watered-down versions with grids&characters :S

I´d payed something like U$ 25 on my copy, two weeks ago a copy was selled around U$40,00 on "Mercado Livre", since I´m not exactly an Intv collector, I don´t know much about price and rarity of Intv games here, usually, talking about Ody games, US prices are better.

BTW.: It wasn´t on the video, but I really love when the big cannons start to attack!

I have a copy but it won't play on a PAL console. Buying an NTSC console is too expensive.

Sorry to get a bit off topic, but why don't they work on a PAL console? what's the other game that doesn't work?

I thought the other game was Motorcross, I remember it being mentioned on the AtariAge Intellivision forum.

I don't know why they don't work. I thought it had something to do with timing and the difference in framerate between PAL and NTSC.

I now finally have this game. Not on my Intellvision but on my Atari 800XL.

Its awesome! But instead of a horizontal scroller it's a vertical one.

Looks like a sweet game.  I'd buy it if one were to release an O2 version.

I played this version on 5200 emulator, but for some reason I felt the Intv version is better Huh?
