Hi guys,

I've been away for a while working on a bunch of projects for other platforms as well as some uncredited stuff, but i'm about to get back with a new game release soon.

In Strikeforce, you pilot a attack chopper and you have to manouver around the screen.
Your goal is to effectively destroy the tanks below you, whilst being attack from the top of the screen by 2 fighter jets as well as the tank below you.

After destroying a number of tanks you will proceed to the next level / layout. Ofcourse difficulty will increase in each level as well.

Game features:
- Playable on Videopac and Odyssey2 consoles
- High resolution title screen on Videopac+ consoles
- Many levels of gameplay with rotating level layouts
- Multicolored sprites and backgrounds
- Digitized speech using the voice add-on
- Internet highscore uploading
- Online rewards system

Release information:
The game will have a regular cartridge release of 80 units.

The games are 39 euros each. Worldwide shipping&handling is 8 euro.
Refurbished plastic videopac cases for the games are also available for an additional fee.

The game is available for order right now (All paid-for preorders are being shipped out this week). Please PM me or email me at info (at) revival-studios (dot) com to place your order and i will send it out to you as soon as possible.

I was about to possibly post the same thing. I do like most of Revival games, but the colorbar background I find annoying (and I'm not alone got a local O2 friend that jokes about every new release from Revival ever since the colorbars started). And again, I'm not cutting the game, just what I consider the overuse of colorbars in the background. Could you imagine this in older O2 games like Pick Axe Pete or such? JMHO though. Each to their own.

Rant over, I will be pre-paying for this of course, as I will support Martijn and anyone making decent O2/VP games.

The possibilities to create a nice background are limited with the O2, so I think this is better than a dull black background. Maybe the game should have an option to turn the background off?  Grin

Really glad I'm not the only one. The colorbars just don't do it for me. I prefer a 'dull' Videopac background  Roll Eyes

But hey, who am I to complain, it's just great Martijn made another game. His games are mostly fantastic.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I didn't consider people prefering a more plain/dull background.
I cant make any promisses, but I will check if i can find a way to have the option to disable for those that prefer a simple black background.

I know you put a lot of work into your games, and I'm sure the backgrounds are intended to enhance the game, but as stated some folks don't 100% care for them (they seem to used at times when not really adding to a game). Not saying myself that I hate them, just don't always care for them, depending on the game (they work well with some games, and seem to kind of hinder visuals on a few). The option to turn them on/off would be nice, but don't go out of our way if it can't be done.

As one other here has stated though, and a local friend too, I actually like the more plain backgrounds. Not really sure why, but I just do.

Still glad for anything new and fun for the O2/VP systems! Smiley

I like it. I think that games like QFTR and Super Cobra, for example, had more elaborate graphics like these, our Odyssey could have had more success in the past.
