Author Topic: Squeezed G7200 image, Caps to replace?  (Read 1405 times)
Trying to get the cartridge in...

I just turned on my G7200 after 2 years, and the image was shrunk to about 1cm height. The width was OK, I could identify sprites, so it seems there is something wrong in the V-bending circuit of the CRT tube.
Did anyone have a similar problem, and know if you can fix it with a cap replacement?
I have the service manual. Which caps should I replace?

Playing Q*bert on a very nice and shiny G7200.

Have you already tried to adjust the height with variable resistor R25?

If turning the pot R25 does not do the trick check if the supply voltage at the TEA1011 is up to spec.
Pin 2 must have 24 Volts, pin 12 is at 11 Volts.

If those are ok you might try and replace C49, C50, C51 and C52 and check every resistor around the TEA1011 (especially R23 which is a special fusible resistor).

Be careful though! There are some nasty voltages inside a G7200! Shocked
