Oh Bollocks can I afford that Ebay item?

« on: October 31, 2007, 08:21:36 PM »

Hi,

I have decided to start taking orders for Robot City. There will be 75 copies. 25 will be a limited collectors edition which will have lots of bonus goodies the other 50 copies will be standard copies. The price is a little high due to the boxes that I have sourced for postage purposes but I think that when you recieve the game it should come in perfect condition with no "crush" injuries, scratches etc. I have also provided a plastic outer box which bumps up the price a little. OK, the costs are :-

Limited Edition Collectors version of which only 25 copies will exist 45 Euro's + 5 Euro's postage

Normal edition of which 50 copies exist 35 Euros plus 5 Euro's postage

PLEASE SEND NO MONEY NOW!!

If you would like a copy then please send me a private mail or just put a post in this thread. Please state which version you would like, and if you would like more than one copy. If you would like a particular cartridge number this can also be sorted.

Well I think Dieter needs to get "Tut" out of the way first and then I'll probably release in January so we will have a new present for the new year!

I think December or January would be fine. The first big run on Tut was a few days ago after the release to forum members. The second big run will be from tomorrow on when I put the info on my website and will send emails to all the previous buyers of Flash Point and Shark Hunter.

Will this be Videopac 67 ?

No this will be RetroGenesis #1

After some careful thought and comments from the community I decided to stick with a non Videopac number and stay with a release from my own label. I bet this ruffles a few feathers............

I'll prefer a number 65. Spiderman has now their "real" cover, and Route 66 is a homebrew..   Lips Sealed
But Andy releases, andy decides. Wink

Will the difference between the Limited Edition and the Normal Edition only be the bonus goodies, or will there be differences in the box/manual/cartridge too?

Umm well, all the released prototypes so far did continue the Videopac series/numbers. So I thought it would be logical to go on with that. Homebrews can of course be released in their own style, but this is a prototype. But of course that is only my opinion, and your release ...

Yes that would be a good idea too.

But alas, we have the chaos perfect now. We have former prototypes released in the Videopac series, we have a homebrew released in the Videopac series, and soon a prototype out of the Videopac series - so we're past remedy and it doesn't matter anymore how the different releases will look like - the clutter is already here. It's a pity that we didn't have a "strict" guideline from the beginning - but probably it's only me who is so picky regarding the appearance of the prototype releases ;-)
