Hey,
I've got some games in completely black boxes (made of paper).
What's the difference to the great looking colourful plastic cases?
Are they from a different source/producer? What's the history/background?

The cardboard boxes were the earlier ones.

The first Videopac games were produced in the U.S., so they've used cartridges and boxes that were similar to the Odyssey2 games. (But with a different print.)

First Videopac cardboxes glossy, cartridges with red arrow: 1 to 13 = made in USA.
Then Videopac cardboxes mat, cartridges with white arrow: 1 to 26 = made in France.
Videopac plastic case, cartridge with white Arrow : 1 to 60 = made in France.
The last Odyssey2 games were assembled in Mexico.
