Here's the first screenshot from our first attempt at a Videopac G7000 game:

This is a recreation of an existing game for C64 (http://pondsoft.uk/splorf.html)

It has been quite a challenge so far, the 8048 is quite different from anything I've coded for before! Smiley

This seems to be a funny game. And for your first Videopac game it look great so far. I love your Videopac Spaceman Splorf.

Will we wonderful to see the finish game. Do you want to put PLUS graphics into the game?

Wow! Are you with Pond Software? I love Pond's games on the C64!  Cool
I have played SpacemanSplorf quite a bit. Looking forward to see it on the Videopac.

For anyone unfamiliar with Pond Software, check their website: http://pondsoft.uk/

Thank you!
At the moment there are no plans for Plus graphics, I kind of like the really, really limited graphics challenges of the original Videopac.

Yes, I'm with Pond - I'm the programmer of the original C64 Splorf as well! Smiley

Very nice! I see you did Super Ski too, great game! I am a great fan of the Pond Soft style of game developing.

I see you are looking for a ram-cart. You might try to contact Rene_G7400 through pm. I am not sure if he still has them, but he developed the great C7051.

The C7051 is sold out. If anyone wants to take over the production of this cart, that would be fine by me, but it's not an easy cart to produce.

Would not a C7050 be an option?

So I'm clear on the game, am I right in thinking it is a cooler version of that bird game? Can't remember the name right now, but you fly it through obstacles.

I'm with ccc---, the spaceman is really cool.

I think you are referring to HAPPY BIRD!

http://www.2600connection.com/features/happy_bird/features_happy_bird.html

Happy Bird! is still available for sale.

And, by the way, is VERY COOL!

Thank you for all the positive comments!
And I agree that Vanja has done a marvelous job drawing the Splorf sprite - we use all four sprites for the character, with half-pixel-shift on the overlay sprites to get a perceived increase in resolution and detail, I think it turned out real nice!
