Hi,
Further an invitation from janzl, here I am as a new member of your forum and little community

.
I'm 52 years old and I live in France, a territory where the Videopacs are present as many different models sold under many different brands

.
I'm more an ATARI addict and specialist, but because I started a collection of consoles and home computers in the early 90's, I also have several Videopac in my collection (3 or 4 I believe).
Recently, I decided to test the strangest one : a model I found in a yard sales in 1993 or so. It was in the suburb of Paris, a city called Colombes, just next another city called Suresnes.
This videopac is strange because it has absolutely no labels or brand on it, nothing. It is shaped as a JoPac, you know, the French variation made by Thomson, and sold under various brand of the group, such as Brandt or Saba. Mine came with quite a lot of cartridges. Many cartridges show marks of opening, and hand written numbers or text. I believe they contain EPROM with other programs than what they should contain. Because Suresnes was the city where the French headquarter of Philips was located, I'm wondering if this JoPac could have belonged to some former employee of Philips or Thomson... (this is purely hypothetical, I actually don't know

).
It stayed in its box for 25 years and plugged it in for the first time yesterday !

Good news : it is a Videopac+, with an RGB scart video output !! Bad news : it's not working

...
Anyway, I'm pleased to come onboard, and I'm gonna open another post to discuss with you about the issue of my JoPAc not working.
I look forward discovering this world of the Videoapac, that is rather new to me

.
Kind regards
