Trying to get the cartridge in...

Hi to all,

I recently bought my fifth G7000 (including games to extend my collection Roll Eyes).
With this came a "strange" multicart that holds 8 * 4K games (4 eproms - 27c64 64bit).

Via the green button (see photo) you can select the games 0-7 (number is shown on the LCD display) and hit reset button on the G7000 to play the game.
I guess i can erase the eprom (via UV) and reprogram 2 * 4K games per eprom (or maybe 1 * 8K game per eprom which means max 4 games via selection 0,2,4,6).

But mainly i am interested what this cartridge is (homebrew, prototype, etc.).
In other words does anyone recognize this cartridge and can share some more detailed information?

Thanks for any response regarding this question!

Yes, I recognize this multicart: I've got the schematics of it that I've found in a bunch of Videopac documents from Philips. I didn't know that these carts have really been built, I've never seen it before. Does it contain any special games? I've built a slightly modified version of it myself.

Hi Rene_G7400,

Thanks for your response!

Answer to your question... (No new games on this strange mulitcard):
0-37 Monkeyshines
1-38 Munchkin
2-39 Freedom Fighters
3-44 Crazy Chase
4-46 Fortune Hunt
5-47 The mousing cat
6-51 Terrahawks (corrected: since this doesn't seem to be a plus version)
7-50 Super Bee)

Regards,
john

51 is normally 8k instead of 4k, so it must be a version without Plus graphics.

Dear Rene,

Logical assumption that the Terrahawks version is indeed a 4K one (else the 8*4K games won't fit on the 4 eproms)!

I downloaded all your roms form this site but noticed that the 51 Terrahawks (the NOT plus version) is not in that package (it does include the plus version).
Does this mean this is a not an official Videopac version (maybe Odessey)?

Regards,
John

A 4k prototype of Terrahawks without Plus graphics is known, but I didn't find it interesting enough to add it to the .zip file.
