I was recently playing with some old, primitive emulators on my Amiga 500 (yes, they DO exist, for Spectrum, C64 and other older systems) and I was wondering why emulators of systems like O2, Atari VCS, Intellivision etc. did never exist back in the day for 16-bit computers like the Amiga, the Atari ST, the Apple IIGS or even for more "advanced" 8-bit machines like the C64 or the Atari XL/XE range or the MSX.  Huh?

Would it be (in theory) that hard? Especially on 16-bit systems it *should* be rather easy, as the requirements hardware-wise are not so high and sophisticated.

Wouldn't it be SUPER to have a decent, full-speed O2 emu on e.g. an A500, running games from floppy disk? "Retro on Retro" is quite an extraordinary idea! Well, it's never too late...  Roll Eyes
I wish I was a programmer to try it out, but I'm not..  Cry

Well, any 68000 or Z80/6502 programmers in here?
