Hi folks!

As i'm not a programmer (except BASIC, HTML & LUA), i decided to have some fun hacking the Odyssey2 BIOS
to display "SELECT GAME" in some other languages like German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.

All those languages display "WHICH GAME?" in their own language (well...tried my best to translate as "SELECT
GAME" is very long translated (example: in Italian = SELEZIONA GIOCO). Hopefully that each language is translated appropriately.

I have put a video on Youtube to show:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iwEx6IuCCk&feature=youtu.be

Oh and i also made other BIOS hacks like "WAZZUP DUDE" or "GAME?" (with 4 icons), etc.

Now the next step is to burn one of these hack BIOS and bypass the program memory which reside in the 8048. =)

Display seems to be limited up to 11 characters on screen.

Hi Marc,

Exactly, on the Odyssey2/G7000, you can only display 11 Characters maximum.
But on an G7400/Jopac, you can display up to 14 Characters as the G7400 (or
any Vpac+) uses the ASCII characters.

That is great!

You burned those on 1k eproms and bypass the internal BIOS with a latch ?

You could also put" SALUT MARC"  Smiley

Oh and you didn't put a video that was made just for you:
