I would be immensely grateful if anyone has more information about how Odyssey3 was developed:
- Who were the people involved.
- Because Philips launched in Europe but gave up on the US and other markets.
- How many units of VideoPac G7400+ were produced
- How many Odyssey3 prototype units were built.
- Which games were released for the G7400 and which ones never saw the light of day.
- Any other information or curiosity.

Grateful!   Smiley

I can help only with one part: The games. Here are much more people, who know more about the Odyssey3 prototypes I think.

The following games were released for the Videopac G7000 and get later a new release with hi-res background gfx for G7400 (Videopac + (Plus) version), so you could buy both versions=

Videopac 1+ (Race), Videopac 11+ (Cosmic Conflict), Videopac 20+ (Stone Sling), Videopac 34+ (Satellite Attack), Videopac 39+ (Freedom Fighters), Videopac 43+ (Pick Axe Pete)

The following games were only released as Videopac + version, there was no release without hi-res background gfx, but are also playable on G7000=

Videopac 51+ (Terrahawks), Videopac 52+ (Killer Bees), Videopac 53+ (Nightmare), Videopac 54+ (Loony Balloon), Videopac 55+ (Neutron Star), Videopac 58+ (Air Battle)

The following games were only playable on G7400 (not G7000)=

Videopac 56+ (Norseman), Videopac 59+ (Helicopter Rescue), Videopac 60 +(Transamerican Rally)

And there are the wonderful Jopac`s. The following Jopac`s has hi-res background gfx, but play also on G7000=

Catapult+ (Videopac 20+), Le Tresor Englouti+ (No Videopac version, a only Jopac game), Cosmos+ (Videopac 11+), Satellite+ (Videopac 34+), Exojet+ (No Videopac version, a only Jopac game), Demon Attack+ (Imagic game with hi-res background gfx, only for Jopac), Flipper+ (Videopac 24, this plus version you can get only on Jopac, not Videopac), Billard+ (Videopac 35, this plus version you can get only on Jopac, not Videopac), Grand Prix+ (Videopac 1+), Basket Bowling (Videopac 6, this plus version you can get only on Jopac, not Videopac)

The following Jopac is playable only on G7400=

Moto-Crash (only for Jopac, no Videopac release)

The following games were not released in the past, only prototypes were found. They get years later a physical releases=

Clay Pigeon (playable on G7000 and G7400 with hi-res background gfx)
Baseball (Videopac 8 with hi-res background gfx, prototype for Odyssey3 not released in Europe)
Flash Point (Odyssey 3 prototype, not released in Europe, playable only on G7400, not G7000)

The following games don`t work on G7400=

Videopac 5 (Blackjack), Videopac 31 (Musician) and Videopac 40 (4 in 1 Row)
On French Videopac+ consoles don`t work Videopac 48 Backgammon correct.

From 2 games exist only footage. No prototype were ever found =

Killer Bees (an other hi-res background gfx as we know from Videopac 52+)
and the Jopac Western+ (Videopac 14)
Both games get later a physical release from Videopac Belgium. You can read all about here=

And we don`t forget our Microsoft Basic Modul C7420, only for G7400.

So, I hope I don`t forget anything or make something wrong. But here are so many nice people, to change this…
