Figured I put in the Atari 2600, arch enemy of the O2/VP (well, to some at least).  :Smiley

Here is my small list of favorite games for the 2600 - ones I would consider a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10:

Frogger (Arcadia Corp) - Best version of Frogger I've seen (at least on older systems) - Of course this is the tape version, for the SuperCharger, but that doesn't stop if from being one heck of a game.
H.E.R.O. (Activision) - This game is just plain fun, and I will stop and play it when I get a chance. A bit slow on the Anthology for the GBA, but I still like playing that version too!
Millipede (Atari) - Much better than Centipede - the action is non-stop. I met the programmer years ago, and he programmed the 2600  version without actually playing the arcade game! True!
Robot Tank (Activision) - A wonderful first-person perspective tank game. I've never managed to finish this game, but have come really close (I think you have to clear 6 squadrons in all). I like playing this on the GBA SP too with the Activision Anthology.
Solar Fox (CBS Electronics) - Not sure why, but I really like this game on the 2600. Fast and fun.
Warlords (Atari) - Really cool take on the old breakout game!

Hmmm.
First place Adventure: Thanks God I dont meet it before bought my Ody, or the story could be changed.
2nd: I never played it on a real console, but 2600?s Montezuma?s Revenge is another kind of game wich the Ody needs
3rd. I totally agree with the inclusion of H.E.R.O in the Atari?s best game list, despite the both Pitfall fame H.E.R.O is far creative and interesting.
4th.Haunted House. I played it a lot.
5th. Well, I decided to include a not so popular game, it?s Space Master, it?s my fav ( VCS) game between the games I had on my childhood. It?s cool.

Yes, Adventure is a cool game. Love that duck.... er, I mean Dragon!

I wonder if anyone could do something close to HERO on the O2/VP?

Haunted House!? Cool game, but not my favorite (but fine if it's on your fave list). One of those games that actually made good used of the flickering effect on the 2600!  :Smiley

Space Monster? Honestly, never played it. I'll have to dig it out - I'm sure I have a .bin file of it somewhere.

No, I'd love to port all the games I listed, but I don't have time for shit nowadays. Besides, my attention focus changes too fast. It's one of my looooooooong term plans, but I've got nothing concrete, it's all vaporware, zero lines of code.

Most of my Odyssey-related work goes into the emulator nowadays. I did some demos a few months ago (not related to River Raid, though), but I realized I needed to know more about the machine, so I started coding the emulator.

Intellivision owners hate the 2600...so Atari fans should be more understanding with the Odyssey2.

Anyway....here are some of my favorites(I have too many I love to name)...not in any type of order.

Crystal Castles
Berzerk
Demon Attack
Entombed
Solar Fox
Lady Bug (homebrew)

sorry to bump an old thread, but thought I'd mention Vanguard need to be thrown in there as a cool 2600 game. It's one of my favorites.
