I don't have a problem with Interpol or other games which are not available anymore, as long as it's clear to the buyers that they are just copies.

He's violating the same rights as everyone does with the other games ... only that the other developers don't know about it or don't care :-)

as for Tut and Spiderman:
(if he burned eproms and left the case off and sold them THEN as prototypes ... well thats something different ...)
Yes, exactly he?s doing.

2. (and more important) there's no original release, and thats my point ... he can make copies of Spiderman, Interpol, Tut, whatever other prototype or original release as long as he wants, as he's not violating more copyrights than Dieter, Bas, Nico, Richard,... (and just because one of them released a game on a cartridge doesn't make them the owner of any copyrights on the game ... only on the work they put in the release themselves, be it the cover art or the manual - and he didn't copy those of spiderman or tut, he used the original Parker release art on the labels (different story for Interpol - he used the cover art for the label and thats someone elses work ...))

Yes, I know about it. When I found MI/VP, I had some expenses to send it for a guy and the only objective was give to Ody fans a chance to play it (on emulator or burning your own carts), I not did it for someone make carts and sell it, I ever knew about the risks. No one is the owner of games like Tut or Spiderman etc. But is needed to consider to make the bin file disposable the person spended time, money etc. Backing to MI/VP I not even received a thanks by it (how the gamers owners can?t see on the manual) Despite it all, I consider Richard a "legalized" guy to make this release because it?s big contribution by Ody/Vpac community. But now, who?s this guy? Another example is Tut. When Tut was discovered, as Ody fanatic, I was very excited to try it. Dieter (and Maurice?) was great making the bin file available as quick they can. I know they have no copyrigths on it, but still is not correct I catch this rom and make copies for sale.

You can laugh about it but there is some truth here. Some collectors are really gonna want to have one of these. Because hardly anyone will buy them so they will be considered as the ultra rare "illegal" releases in a couple of years. Undecided
