I hear the first PCs had 1024kb!!, but because that was so much they only gave 640kb to the OS.  Smiley

No the first PC's had less than that I think.....yes..... 16k no floppy $1600 US
or 64k of ram 5 1/4" floppy $3000 US. Talk about rip off. I think it was only
expandable to 256k. The XT is when they introduced 640k.


My Atari St flattened it for years. I was not till the 386 that I felt the PC finally
was stronger than my ST( and not by much....it played DOOM!....big plus.... Wink )

I've been lurking in on this stuff between Gorf and Rene. It sounds like an 'add-on' device that would give more power to the O2/VP!? If so, I would be curious as to where this thing would go (on a cart, something different, ?).

That's RAM, we were talking about ROM (Eprom).

The idea is that it will fit in a regular Videopac/Odyssey2 cartridge (with a non-regular PCB).
