Hello,

Just wanted to confirm if it normal operation for a Videopac 7000 (pal / uk) to start with a scrambed screen and Beeping. Pressing reset gets the game working.

I sure the one I had back in the day, started at the Select Game Screen, and I did not have to press reset, but now I'm not sure if it's a fault or Normal Operation.

Thanks

Hi Hellfish74,

This is not normal operation. You did recall it correct, normal operation start with a Select Game screen with no beeping.
If this is with a game cartridge in the console maybe you can try another one. There could be a problem with the cartridge.

Thanks for the reply,

It's with every game I've tried. I have clean both the socket and Cartridges, but consistantly does the same each time.

Some on another page said this was normal, but I did'nt think so.

May seem like a key on the keyboard is stuck. Can you play games on it?

Yes, it is a thing I have seen quite often. It doesn't bother me. Multiple systems I have behave that way.

OK, thanks, it all works fine after a reset, and Just done a 'Composite mod' on it, and replaced the Internal Power supply.

Did'nt know if I needed to recapped it, but happy with it as is, at the moment.
