Title: my recent ebay deal
Post by: immergruen on December 08, 2008, 12:26:34 PM
I just made a rather good deal at ebay:
A G7400 with
Videopac 4
Terrahawks
Turtles
Satellite Attack +
Freedom Fighters +
Pickaxe Pete +
Norseman
for just 27? + 15? shipment from the Netherlands. I am really happy about that deal because I was looking for a complete Norseman. I already have the other games, but still the Videopac+ cases are worth the money in my opinion and a second G7400 probably is not the worst thing to have, either...

Yep, especially with Norseman included this is a very nice deal! Congratulations! :)

... today I got a G7010 chess cartridge for 15? (well, plus an additional 15? for shipment from Belgium...).

Seems I am finally getting close to the expensive Videopacs...

Was it boxed?

No, it wasn't. I am just trying to get all cartridges, buying boxed things is too expensive for me though.

Today I've bought a C52, Videopacs 11, 18, 26, 38 (new release cover), 43+, 52 and HELICOPTER RESCUE for just 36? on eBay. As shipment cost are rather high (25?), I am wondering whether I should ask the seller to keep the C52 - is this worth to be collected or is anyone here interested in that? Cheers, Klaus

Congratulations with Helicopter Rescue!
The C52 is not rare. This one doesn't even have the original joysticks. If you don't have a french TV you probably can't even use it. So the C52 would only be interesting if you want to own every console variation.

I just made my bid because of Helicopter Rescue (and I didn't have Videopac 26 and the alternative Munchkin cover in my collection yet). Well, shipment without the C52 would be 16? instead of 25?, so I will just take it (and try to hide it frm my girl friend, she already makes fun of me because most auctions I have won so far came with a G7000 or G7400, I've got six of them now).
By the way, is there a rarity list somewhere that states the prices you might expect to pay?

the games section of http://www.videopac.org/ (http://www.videopac.org/) has some rarity guide with prices. But i don't know if these prices are still correct.
http://odyssey2.classicgaming.gamespy.com/db/index.php (http://odyssey2.classicgaming.gamespy.com/db/index.php) has a rarity guide.

There are no up to date price guides. The C52 version is very common, I would have told the seller to keep it and sell it again if he wanted.

Only 6! I have a whole corner of my loft dedicated to spare G7000 consoles  :)
