Lets not start a he said / he said debate, lets move on and play some videopac games..... or maybe knock ozyr off some of those arcade top spots he has held for too many days.

Hey, I heard (saw) that!  :P

Yeah, in regards to Richard, its his personal life. I really don't care anymore what happened, just that he is okay and hopefully in good health. It is nice that he at least brought up the forum for the information - he really could have just left it down - but he didn't.

Richard, if was fun while it lasted!  ;D

Regarding Richard's situation: At this time I don't think that Richard will be active on his website or the videopac.org forum in the next time - maybe even never again.

Since you seems the only to contact Richard, maybe you know if he had plans to continue the project which involves Fernandez - The Black?

No, I don't have a clue who or what Fernandez Black is. I might ask him next time I mail him.

Rafael

In fact I know who?s Fernandez the Black, but I don?t know specifically about the Fernandez, but the idea where Fernandez was included. Ask him for details and if he wants to continue, maybe you can do it.

Gorf

Greeting folks,

It's good to be here and great to see the Magnavox consoles
still being appreciated. I just last night, thanks to a post about
getting your own O^2 games to run on o2em, got my first pixels
to show up(a BCD print) on O2EM. So I decided to join and get a
few pointers on coding techniques and tricks for the O^2/Videopac.

Gorf

Hi Gorf, welcome!

There aren't many Odyssey2/Videopac programmers, so it's always nice to see a new one.  :)

'NEW' is the operative word.....like I said, last night was my first
time getting ANYTING to work on the O2/VP based systems.

I've always wanted to since the very day I bought the system
and indeed the reason why I bought it...It looked like I could
program it.

Littel did I realize 20+ years later, we'd have emu's to make this possible.
:D

Gorf

Oh and btw...thanks for setting this place up Janzl.

We do appreciate your efforts, time and money it
prbably cost you to do this.

You'll need the emu for the O2, because as far as I know there are currently no RAMcarts for sale for the Odyssey2/Videopac consoles. A RAMcart does exist, but only very few copies have been made of it.

O2em works pretty well. Of course it has some limitations. One of them is that you can't check the problems that occur on the real hardware when two or more characters overlap.

Gorf

No I understand but I do have two O^2's laying around
and if need be can sacrifice one of those carts(a double
of something common) and pop and Eprom in there instead.
Or I could always make my own RAM cart(not likely however.)

:)

Thanks Gorf, and welcome to this forum :). Sure is nice to see another programmer joining the ranks. I know how eager peoples over here are to see new games released. :)
