got an intresting poster the other day ... Netherland poster with games 1-43, A, C7010

whats really intresting about is that it got "Niet in Nederland verkrijgbaar" over videopac 38 and videopac 41 ...

did the lawsuit over K.C. Munchkin actually hit the netherlands as well ?

and: why is videopac 41 not available (intresting to note: videopac 41 got the text "conquest of the world" on it, videopac 42 "La Quete des Anneaux" - afaik there are dutch versions of both, right ?)
sex, lies, and videopac

don't think they got banned since it is the most common cart i see when i find videopac related stuff.
41 was as i believe never released, don't know why.

41 was released in the Netherlands called "Hegemonie". Even most dutch people don't know what Hegemonie means ;)

Which lawsuit was this? This could have implications for explaining a few mysterious questions I'm having with the prototype book at the moment!

41 was not released in The Netherlands, but was released in Belgium, that's why a dutch version does exist, but is uncommon.

The lawsuit probably took a lot of time, and a lot of copies might have been sold before it was banned. K.C. Munchkin is a common Odyssey2 game in the U.S. too.

This law suite was in the u.s. Sure enough this wouldn't have any consequences for europe. Since they have to apply to european rules. Look at microsoft now. They're about to release windows 7 without browser because of european rules. Last new though is that they will ship with ie browser.

well ... I am open for any conspiracy  theories as to why Nr. 38 was not available in the Netherlands at the time the poster was printed ... out of supply ? ;)

I heard a rumour that Munchkin had a striking resemblance to the prime minister of the time, and the videopac staff were told in no uncertain terms that if it was released in The Netherlands then special forces would be sent around to destroy the offices with everyone still in them. As the PM was known to be addicted to various pills, the whole cabinet were very concerned about comparisons that would be drawn in parliament and were certain that Munchkins release would topple the government.
