haven't posted in this thread for a while ... but I am currently in Canada (presenting a paper on new O2EM features I haven't released yet on a conference ;-) )
I used the time here to got to a retro gaming shop and picked up 2 Canadian Odyssey 2 games - the 2 variations I know of (and not many people have talked here on the forum about yet):

First is the first edition of Odyssey2 games sold in Canada: This is the standard US edition sold with an extra slip-cover with French/English lyrics (cartridge and manual are the same as in the US edition) - the back cover of the slip-cover also features the french description of the game (this is the Speedway etc. game)

Second is the "real" canadian version of Odyssey2 games in plastic case: its got its own label on the cartridge, 3 inlays (one 1 page english/french cover, 1 english instructions, 1 french instructions) and a Canadian plastic box that is quite different in plastic texture from the European videopac one - some of the cartridges even have a "Philips electronics" print on them - see pictures ;-)

btw: I am going directly from Canada to Eurocon - so if anyone wants to see it there in person - I will have it in my luggage :-)

Nope, bought it online. around $249. It is slightly smaller than the original, but contains all the original harware + a SD-card interface that allows you to load software easy.

:D Yeah the keyboard is not in great shape, maybe I will swap it later.

Just for fun I connected the serial busses of the VIC and the C128 (with inbuilt uIEC) 1-to-1 and then try to load a program from the uIEC into the VIC and that works OK. Amazing it works like a true bus system!  :)
