Sweersa, when I introduced the "Buy me a beer" option on this forum you replied with this comment:
"I don't know, its a clever and interesting idea. But think about the younger people (do you think there are any?) that see these forums. I am sure we have a few ghost readers, I just don't think its the best idea to send the wrong message to some younger people. "
As I consider virtual beer a lot less harmfull then guns, especially guns used in a civil war where lots of civilians were killed and from whom some of their relatives may actually see these forums (I actually know a couple personally because they had to flee their country back then), I want to ask you to remove these texts and photo's considering guns and stop posting them here. Do that on the proper forums somewhere else.
Thanks!
Janzl
I have removed it per your respectful request. I do not understand how photos of something can be considered offensive, but I don't have to because this is your forum and I'll respect your wishes.
I just want you and others to know I mean nothing malicious about it, I collect for historical purposes, responsible enjoyment, and I find the engineering behind such things quite interesting as it is history. I'm not sure if museums have firearms where you are from, but I see it more as a private museum similar to how I collect O2 things. I like to share them with others and since no one or few here seem to share that view I'll refrain from posting such things here.
Alcohol kills more people than guns in my country, so I could say the same thing. Since I'm of legal drinking age now in the US (that post is from years ago), I can say I don't have an issue with the buy me a beer feature. In fact, if we are ever in the same area, I'd gladly buy you a real beer or two.

I totally agree. In fact, I wouldn't mind if Janzl would kick you off the forum for this!!!
I don't understand this line of thinking on kicking me out as I didn't post any pictures of firearms, just magazines which are boxes with springs in them with historic significance, but I understand we come from very different areas with very different politics. I do know personally a number of people in Europe who also enjoy the sport and historical interest in such technology. Where I'm from, it's a recreational sport or tradition, and should be done responsibly. Accidents and horrible events do occur as they do everywhere, but they also occur with vehicles, motorcycles, and alcohol. Something to think about. I'm not trying to change your mind, and I hope you don't think of me as a bad person, but if you do, that's up to you.
I didn't mean to make anyone upset, and I certainly don't think one should be booted due to unintentionally offending adults over something acceptable in my region. Now I know. I hope there's no hard feelings Rene, I enjoy your posts and all of the information you kindly offer here and I even have a few games of yours that I really like!
