really, it was free for a while ?

can't access your website, George, as the company I work in still lists it as pornographic ;-) but mine before Winter 1983 say "Odyssey 2 Adventure" on top ...

like this one (Google is my friend ...)

Oh I see the little 2 now! Yes mine do have that, but I had to go and look at bigger pictures to see it. Sure enough it disappears one the words ONE DOLLAR appear on the front.

US magazine was never free.

It was Odssey2 Adventure for the first four issues, then just Odyssey Adventure for the last three issues.

This week I received this wonderful gift from my friend Marcus Garrett, who in addition to a passion for video games is a great historian of them. The book "1983: The Year Of Video Games in Brazil" is a real journey in time and result of a great research work, it gives details that even I, a huge fan of Odyssey unknown, as the first presentation of the console to press, as well as its launch price (now I know why I took so long to get mine). Of course, that the book speaks not only of the Odyssey, after a brief introduction, the consoles are presented, probably in order of relevance: Atari, Odyssey, Intellivision and Colecovision clones, each island has its own chapter, all described with total impartiality. Here?s some pics:

retro-gaming related stuff i recently bought:
- Commodore c16 boxed
- Bunch of 2600's (still need a bunch of power supplies/atari joysticks for these, anyone?)

And i will surely buy Uncharted 3 for my PS3 the day it is released (1-11-11) Expect inactivity for at least a week around this time ;-)

forget online, forget sandboxing, i'm all for a good linear single player experience..

I just hope they didnt waste too much budget on that multiplayer stuff... (i like the co-op multiplayer stuff though). Either way you will need to pay for online accesss for this game, so f*&k them ;-)

I will check my 'stock' but I think I have some original Atari joysticks which came with a 9 pin SUB-D modified G7000 I bought a year ago.

Edit:  I have three original Atari joysticks
