I was there at the presentation. Indeed a testcartridge to find any broken part inside the videopac.
Very nice publication. Looks first class, nice artwork and a beautiful manual.
I didn't buy it because i'm not going to repair broken videopac's, and i wanted to spend my cash on games for various systems.
But like i said a very good publication. Had a nice chat with Rene and Bas.

Me too. It's already 19:04  :(

Ok, found it: http://bas-ditta.info/videopac/teksten/stc.htm

45 Euro  :(

which in this case is actually worth the money I think ... its not just an eprom inside the cart but the LCD and some more things as well ... not to mention the work for cutting the case ... and the manual ... looks nice, wonder where you got that thing from  :P

So no game, no home-brew, no proto-type, no plus-conversion  >:D >:D

A very nice Philips tool for repairing Philips Videopac Consoles and ofcourse a nice item for your collection. ;)

manopac

I actually was expecting it to be this when you didn't reply to the questions for game and homebrew :-)

And it has a nice grid/sprite editor.  :)

Rene almost gave it away before it was revealed. I asked him about a couple of switches that where mounted onto a g7000. They where to simulate hardware errors.
And i said that his multi cart would be interesting for release, because he had the test cart on it as well.

Thanks to the STC I'll be able to test and (maybe) repair all my defective Videopac systems. :)

I can't help but wonder...

I have an original testcart and I *think* Manopac has one. As far as I know, those are the only two originals in existance. Where did Bas get all this stuff from? Why isn't that mentioned in the Acknowledgements (or maybe it is, and I just don't see it).
