Hmm, there is no year in the game, and noone from GST remembers. 1983 I would guess. Maybe there is a year in the source code? We'd had to ask Rene ...

I've never found any hidden text in the source code of a Videopac or Odyssey2 game.

Since the first Videopac games made by GST were released in 1983, the other GST games are probably from 1983 as well. (or maybe 1984, Philips seems to have stopped counting the years for Videopac games after 1983. The last Videopac games have been released in 1984, but still have 1983 printed on them.)

I just had a look at the PCB and Eproms for Martian Threat, the EPROMS are from 1981, but the PCB has no date, sometimes they do but not in this case.  I have no idea about Melrep.

Does this mean the game was made in 1981 (programmed), or is it a date from the EPROM itself? Only reason I ask, is that most GST Video games are from around 1984.

ANDYRYALS

No the eprom was probably from 1981 I have some Eproms data 1979!!

Just checked the list and saw you didn't have the release dates for:

Puzzle Piece panic: 02/21/2007

Planet Lander: 10/06/2004

Mr Roboto: 03/31/2006

Thanks Janzl. I've been meaning to bug Packrat or someone who had those dates. I didn't keep my receipts for the games, so I forgot the dates. (I still need to bug him about Pong and Calculator - I just don't remember the dates)
