Chris!

I thought it was interesting that the newspaper clipping in the packaging was from a newspaper just an hour or so south from where I live. (Eugene. I live in Salem.)
All my Odyssey2 projects, now in one place!

Salem? You should make a game about burning witches!   ;D

Hey, I live approximately 73 miles from Salem, Massachusetts  -- home of the famous Salem, Mass. witch trials of the year 1692.
I just brainstormed a quick idea for a game called "Hang the Witches"
Maybe we can expand on the idea

Basically, it is a game of Hangman (similar to the Atari 2600 Hangman)

http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-hangman_7340.html

There could be a set of programmed words in memory, for example:

WITCHCRAFT
SORCERER
VICTIM
TRIAL

etc.

That the player would have to guess.

if you don't guess it correctly, the witch gets hanged!

What do you think?

Sounds like a variation on the already existing Odyssey2 game "Buzzword".

timdu

You're right. I forgot about that title. It exists on the (3 games-in-one-cartridge) Matchmaker!/Logix!/Buzzword!
I NEVER play this cartridge. I actually forgot all about it!

As for the foam pieces falling out  , perhaps I need to use a stronger glue.

Tim

Maybe use something that doesn't require glue. Been working on the packaging for the re-release of the 233-in-1 multi-cart, and Uline has some nice foam tape I ordered. It has worked great so far for inside the cart, to hold the PCB a bit while flipping switches. Plus it will work great for hold the cart in place. Self stick, and glad I found it, but it is a bit pricey to get (you have to order a whole roll). PM if you want more info (I'll post a picture someday here of my 'fixed' DR case with update foam padding. ;)

Packrat

Not to cut anything down or such, but this was my fix for the loose pieces that held the cart in the case.

I was thinking of buying this game.  Any reviews I can read or watch online...?

Sweersa

I'm going to order one after my next pay check.

Looks to be fun!

Did you see this 7 minute review on youtube?
Yes, but unfortunately a video doesn't really give you a good idea of what controls are like.
I think a ROM is available for download, so I'm going to try that out with O2EM and see what I think....

To satisfy some requests for the game on cartridge, I am happy to report that Ivan AKA "LD" and I have made an agreement to release
the "unlimited release" of DEATH RACE. Please note this game cartridge is NTSC format and it does not have a serial number. There is no
box included either. It is just the color manual and the loose game cartridge. The price is $25 US DOLLARS plus shipping.

Ordering information is on the web page: http://www.2600connection.com/features/death_race/features_death_race.html

thank you,

Tim
