Did anybody has an example how to display a grid of tiles / characters, similar to these games :

I know there is a way to display vertical / horizontal bars, but this is not what i'm looking for (it's fairly limited)

Also did someone have a good document that describe video programming for the odyssey (sprites, background, colors, ...)

The first screen is composed of multiple lines of 'quads', each quad consists of 4 characters with a spacing of one character. Quads have a single X and Y position. By putting two quads next to each other you get a line of 8 characters. If you reset the Y position along the frame by using careful timing you can get multiple lines on screen.

The second screen is actually built with the grid and are the corner dots of each vertical and horizontal line segment.

If you page through the programming section here you will find some code examples. Search for 'asm' or 'a48'.

Have you seen this page btw ? http://home.kpn.nl/~rene_g7400/vp_info.html
