Today I bought the new issue from the german RETRO GAMER. Sorry, but I don`t understand our german RETRO GAMER. In this issue, they have 4 pages about the Interton Electronic VC 4000 system, with a picture from our friend Dieter (CCC) and 8 pages about the Magnavox Odyssey1 system.

In issue 4/2014 they had only 2 pages about our Philips Videopac G7000 under the heading ,,Machina Obscura". Well, I think that the Interton VC4000 and the Odyssey1 system is more ,,obscure" than the Philips Videopac system.

They could learn something from the UK RETRO GAMER. They had wonderful 6 pages about our beloved system.

I have to agree Thomas.

Some day I will write the ultimate Videopac/Odyssey2 Encyclopedia.  :)

That were great Dieter. But before please Videopac 71.  ;)

Today I wrote my first letter to a magazin. I wrote to the german Retro Gamer, about there Interton and Odyssey1 story and how they had a little denigrate our Videopac system and that they could learn something from the UK Retro Gamer and many more.

And because I could write better german than english, I think, that they will understand, that our Videopac system is not obscure and till today more than alive and liked.

It will be amazing, Dieter.
Someone made a beauty Atari Encyclopedia

Something on this level for our favorite console will be the definitive item. :)

Yes I know the Atari Encyclopedia Rafael, I got it for Christmas  :)
(actually it is part one of four, but I think for Videopac one part will be enough)

The design of the Atari Encyclopedia is a bit "rough", should have had some finetuning. But yes, something like that is what I want to make for the Videopac/Odyssey2.

Considering the quality of Tutankhamun's manual I am sure we will have a wonderful encyclopedia. Come on, Dieter! ;)

Now I know, what you mean Dieter. When I look at Amazon and look the YouTube video, it seems also to me, that they used paper of a lower quality and some pages has strange lines from a bad ink printer.

Do you think it`s worth 48 Euro Dieter  ???

Thanks Rafael, I will do my best again ;)

I just need to find the time, that's the main problem ...

I will have to analyse everything I need for the book, maybe some of you guys can help out then with screenshots or stuff.

To be honest Thomas, I don't think it is worth 48 Euro. Maybe 30 Euro.

The design of the book is not really good, it looks more like a website from the 2000s. Some parts of the text are extremely close to the edges of the pages in my book and some people even complained that some parts of the text are missing. The photos of some copies have lines from bad printing. However, the text explains the games pretty good. The book all in all lacks some "fine tuning".

On one hand it is not worth 48 Euro in my opinion, on the other hand the author has promised better quality in part 2 and I try to support such projects, so I bought it (respectively got it from my parents for Christmas).
