Mean Santa!

Sometime ago, Timdu ask me about to do a version of Mean Santa ( http://www.2600connection.com/features/mean_santa/features_mean_santa.html ) for our Odyssey
So here´s a demo. At first Santa needs to fly around city and when a house appears, just land on the roof  to enter a house. Inside the house you just need to rod the gifts, candy and xmas tree and after fly to another house. Actually it have 9 houses to steal (after the game will stop). The final goal will be to get all items in less time. Tell me your thoughts. (ps.: test with o2rom, there´s some problems with g7400rom)

If all goes well as planned, MEAN SANTA will be available for the CHRISTMAS 2016 season.

Here are two screen shots. One is of Santa in his sleigh dodging the snowflakes and the second is of Santa once inside the house, getting ready to collect the items!

In the first version you had a thunderstom, now you have snowflakes. I love the new idea with the snowflakes.

But why has you complete changed the gfx from the first screen, Rafael? Was there a technical reason?

To be honest, I loved the first version with the small houses. Had the feeling of a small village.

Tom, the houses are on plus version while on O2 you´ll have the buildings. For some reason, the game is stopping with G7400 rom, so I sugest you try it with o2rom. If you want to try it using the C7051 maybe it will run normally in the G7400.

I have a suggestion on the first screenshot. Why not reverse the colors and make the sky black and the buildings gray?

There´s many reason for the the choice of colors. One is that as usual the Odyssey games are: background and foreground dark or dark backgroud light foreground, I wanted to give the impression that this game has background light and dark foreground, I think it gives a unique visual indentity the game. But the main thing is that it would not to do as you suggested.

I am getting excited about this game MEAN SANTA , which we hope to release later this year in time for the Christmas season.

Rafael is making some progress with this game. Nothing to share at this point in time, but stay tuned.

MEAN SANTA is still on track and being worked on!   If all goes well and is planned, it will be released on December 1, 2016

Here are two more screen shots to get excited about:

The first is a screen shot of the 16th ( and final ) house in MEAN SANTA.

Santa must start at the top, and work his way down, avoiding the 4 guard dogs.
At the bottom of the screen is the ROASTED TURKEY DINNER, which MEAN SANTA
must steal, and then work his way back up to the top of the screen, once again - avoiding the 4 guard dogs.

The second is for owners of the VIDEOPAC PLUS systems... if you have this system you will see these enhanced graphics
as MEAN SANTA navigates his sleigh.
Please note these graphics do not appear on the ODYSSEY² systems...
