Haunted Woods - Contest!

It's time to show off your skill with the bow and arrow! If you were a brave warrior and fought several creatures in Forbidden Lands a new hero. Win a free copy of the new Odyssey / Videopac, Haunted Woods! The player who scores the highest score on Forbidden Lands until the day before the official game's release (to be defined), will receive a copy of Haunted Woods in the version of his choice Odyssey or Videopac. Participants should post their scores on this topic. Players will be able to use both the console and the emulator, however, photos of the scores will be accepted, since it is very easy to change a screen copy. In order to make the tournament fairer, the photos must contain a date indication, only scores recorded as of October, 20 will be accepted. Finally, whoever is actually participating may request a game rom. Good luck!

I just edited the post. I think it was not clear that the highest score is in Forbidden Lands. When I'm home, I'll send the rom (FL) to you.

Oct 22 - 1,393 - 3 monster hits at ~400 points.  2 more hits at 1300, then final hit to end the game.  They always get me on the double bump in corner.  All on O2.  

Going to try 7400 today

1,636 on O2, getting closer to my old high score.  Hit 6 times.  First hit by monster at ~900.  Had 14 strength points left at ~1600 and then died a bunch of times.

Trying to switch between 7400 and O2 is too hard.  Best to get use to one and play it.

I've tried playing a little bit this weekend, but I'm untrained. I made less than 600.

New high score for me.  1,922.  

Got hit 4 times by monster doing backwords V pattern.  Monster starts a little lower than the upper right corner and looks to move to lower left corner where my hero hangs out.  Then monster changes direction to upper corner, sort of a v-pattern here and gets the hero, as he was trying to avoid the lower left.  3 very close calls in this game.  I was super conservative with getting the key.  Over the course of the game this costs about 5-10 strength points.  Not ideal, but better than losing 5 with single touch.

I took pic at 1898 with 3 strength points left.  It was a bad idea as key passed by and I had to wait for it to return to get it, hence 1,922 final score.
