I sure hope this is the right place to post in the form if not I really apologize. I had somebody ask me on the second master system forum about making Odyssey2 two game cartridges. I told him I would be more than delighted to look into it but I needed the best game to use as a prototype for the widest compatibility. He recommended I try this form to ask here to see if anybody had any suggestions and also if there was general interest are not in having these available.

I have made quite a few other injection molds in the past including the Sega Master system, Sega Mark III, Sega Genesis, Atari 7800 and the Atari Jaguar. So I'm fairly familiar with making injection molds. The mold manufacture I use is located right here in the United States and I am able to order small batches of 100per different color I choose.

I typically make my shells in a wide variety of translucent and solid colors so that you have a good selection to choose from.

I apologize for the long post and again if this is in the wrong area of the forum please feel free to move it. Let me know your thoughts are about having brand-new shells available for the Odyssey 2 are and what game would be the best one to use as a prototype to make the shells off of.

Interesting ! Actually, every releaser make their own cartridges shells with 3D-print.
Myself I use old cartridges .
Can you post a SMS or SMD samples?

Hi Starwander... I am interested in getting a quote for a batch of 100. If I sent you a cartridge casing of a common game such as KC MUNCHKIN or SPEEDWAY / SPINOUT or BASEBALL, would that work for you?
The cartridge casings have that traditional handle, but that can be removed if you wish and perhaps it may be a cost savings if eliminated?

thanks

Howdy
I appreciate the offer, what I was really looking for was information on any oversized or atypical sized PCB board. To give you an example with the Sega Master system the monopoly PCB board is significantly larger than the regular circuit boards and so I had the shell designed so it could fit both the oversized monopoly boards and the more traditional site circuit boards. Are there any examples like this with the Odyssey? Once I have this information I can go ahead and order the appropriate game and then have the injection mold made

I'm also interested for a quote for a batch of 100 clear.

I am interested in a quote of 100 Odyssey2 style cartridges. To my knowledge, there are no special specific large printed circuit board games. I believe SID THE SPELLBINDER and NIMBLE NUMBERS NED have a slightly larger than normal printed circuit board, but it fits inside a standard Odyssey2 cartridge casing.

I'd be interested, for sure. But note that the O2 and VP cartridges are different on the inside (they are not compatible).

Perfect this is what I was hoping to find out. I will order one of these and use to get a price for the mold

Just a quick update I paid the down payment on the injection mold and it is under production. Will post when samples are available for testing.

Sounds great. Looking forward to this!  :)

I wanted to post an update that the injection mold has been completed and the prototypes are being sent to me for inspection. If anybody would like to volunteer to try them out please let me know and I will be happy to send you some free ones for inspection.

I've been given a test cart shell. This thing is wonderful. Fits all my board.

I'll no longer have to kill collectible games to make new ones!
