I made a website on how to program for the Odyssey 2. You can check it out, including my minimalist program I made for it for instruction purposes here:
http://atari2600land.com/odyssey2/how.html
Some of the stuff is incomplete, like who made the ASW assembler. I Googled it and couldn't find it, so I'm hosting it on my website.
Let me know how I did and if I should make a more advanced guide.

I picked up my 10-year-abandoned attempt at making a simple O2 game a couple of weeks ago after finding your other O2 programming page (http://atari2600land.com/odyssey2/odyssey2howtoprogram.html) and using the resources at http://home.kpn.nl/rene_g7400/vp_info.html, including Soren's tutorial (which I'm amazed I was able to find on an old thumb drive before finding it again on the internet archive).

Thanks to everyone for putting this information out there.  I'm on my way to making my first Odyssey game!
