Recently I've been trying to get away from the Odyssey a little,
I haven't started anything new for a while, but I'm back for another round.

Looks REALLY good. Nice graphics and good speed.

The original deducts points for chunks of rock that reach the ground. Are you planning to implement that?

It already looks stellar, and I can't wait to give the final product a try.

Looks very cool. I don't understand all the programming limitations, so I'll just ask. Is it possible to break up the asteroids when they get hit with fire, like in the Asteroids game? I like the ship being at the bottom and wondered about the difficulty with multiple smaller asteroids coming at you when you shoot a big one. But I know memory is limited, so that may not be possible.

My idea is to make a shorter game, more suitable for today. Something like Astromash: Time Trar (or Final Countdown etc). So, instead of losing points, the player loses time.

Currently this happens when a large asteroid breaks apart. This is having a very interesting effect, at least on my bedroom TV. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYRGT8z5oNU )

The game looks like all your games just awesome. If we had had something like that back then...

If I only think of Sandstorm, for example. If I had seen the big Pyramid in a shop on the TV, I would have known exactly which game I would have liked for Christmas.

And when I was on your channel, I noticed that I had failed to subscribe to it. Was made up immediately. Now I don't miss anything anymore.  :)

And then also Odyssey in the bedroom, what could be nicer.  ;:)
;)  Killed the Killer Bees  ;)
Now also on youtube: Tom Beck collect...

That's actually a cool effect but probably doesn't really help the game play since the remnants are gone pretty quick. Thanks for checking it out.

Naturally, while I'm tinkering with things, I'm testing the possible consequences. Although I haven't activated collision in the game yet, I can already see that the player who doesn't move carefully will be crushed by the wreckage.

Chris!

When you shoot a big rock, why not just have two small rocks, one moving left and one moving right, both away from the player (if he's standing still)
All my Odyssey2 projects, now in one place!

I don't know if I understood correctly, but that's how things are happening. BTW and in time, I would like to thank you. I don't know if people here on the forum remember, but Chris started an Astromash project years ago   ( https://videopac.nl/forum/index.php?topic=1920.0 ). I talked to him if I could play the game and he said to go ahead.

Since I can't laugh at the joke, a new video for you.  ;:)
