@Doug -> for the moment, we can't give you a date of release for the other two games (and probably more :) as financial aspects are difficult for us. Clearly, we lose money about these releases due to low sells (less than 30 copies for each game ...). So we have to try to recover a little margin with other projects before invest in other Videopac releases. But we are doing our best and don't hesitate to help us by showing the quality of our releases on some forums or social networks ! :)

@Tom Beck -> to be honest, as we don't have a Jopac system, we haven't test the cartridge on this system variant. We have tested it on some other models and we have encountered no problem. Yes, due to some dimension variation, the fit is probably a bit tight but it works.
Do you have the possibility to use the games with an other system or are you only in possession of a Jopac system?
Let us know and sorry for this problem. I wouldn't have thought so, since Jopac cartridges are identical to Videopac cartridges.
What I can try to do is, with the help of Marc that has a Jopac system, and see what I can do. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@RayXambeR ->  I own various Videopac and Jopac models. But only this Brandt Jopac JO7400 is connected to my TV. This is due, for example, to the fantastic picture quality that the device delivers, or that "The Voice" is built-in and the sound effects also come from the TV and some other modifications. Therefore, it is out of the question to connect another device as well.

Today I did the work to take a closer look at my G7400 from my childhood and my Jopac. I really don't know what's happening in the cartridge slot of the Jopac that doesn't suit your games. Purely visually, I don't see any difference. But your games fit perfectly in my G7400, but under no circumstances in my Jopac.

But now I don't want any costs to be caused here under any circumstances, if I'm the only one who has this problem. That is out of the question at all. If I want to play the games, I just use the "The Voice+" adapter, or play the games with my C7050, which I got from Rafael for my little Youtube channel. Don't worry. I didn't want your beautiful release to be damaged because of it. There are 3 fantastic games from Rafael that is second to none on Videopac. Your packaging of the games is also unique and I am very happy to own them. It would only be nice, if there are more games from you in the future, that they can also be played in a Jopac.

I sincerely hope, that not only 30 of them will be sold. So, if you haven't ordered one yet, make up for it as soon as possible. Otherwise, it is very questionable whether there are other games in this wonderful way.

We really appreciate your words Tom, thank you so much for your support!
Be sure, we will try to find a solution for having our future games working on an original Jopac system.
Or, at least, we can try to offer two different casings if needed.

The "The Voice+" adapter in action.  8)

Not what it was intended for, but it serves its purpose perfectly.

A great idea. Thank you Marc.

Nice idea Marc indeed!
And it let show the whole label ;)

@minodk -> I think I forgot to answer your problem. I'll send you a PM very soon ;) Sorry!

I recently received Monkey Jump and Relics of a Mad King.
What a great effort that was put into these. Gorgeous packaging, very detailed artwork and instruction manual in many different languages.  Overall game play exceeded my expectations, and I loved the level of strategy involved.
Very smooth movements, and enjoyed the new sprites(Monkey, Trees, Mad King, etc)

Great job. .cant wait to buy the other games!

First of all WOW on the packaging. This is museum/display quality stuff here. I thought the Quest for the Rings box was special, which it is, but getting something like this for a system from 1978 in 2024 is just incredible.

So yes the 3D printed cart does fit snuggly in an NTSC Odyssey 2 unit, but when the voice module is installed, it doesn't fit at all. I tried several times without hurting the cart or the module, and it just doesn't fit. I am not sure why the slot is a little different from the main unit itself. I am getting a cart extender for the voice module to help out with this though, but if you have a voice module you can test the 3D cart that way to see if it fits. If that is corrected, then maybe it will fit the jopac as well.

Otherwise the games are great fun and would had saved this system from it's early demise if they came out in the early 80's.

Thanks for keeping these systems alive with new games!

Thank you very much for your feedback on the games and their packaging, we really appreciate it :)
Yes, Rafael's games are really superb from every point of view, both in terms of production and gameplay - he's done a fantastic job!

As far as the cartridge is concerned, I think I've figured out what the problem could be. I'll try to fix it and then send Marc the reworked cartridge for him to test on Jopac.
For me, but I'm not sure yet, it's that the notch isn't in the same place as the original ones. As a result, it still works on 'standard' Videopac models. On the other hand, this discrepancy must mean that it doesn't work on Jopac. And when I was designing I was only able to test it on the model I have and as it didn't cause me any problems, I thought it was the same for the other models.
In short, I didn't study my subject enough at the start, shame on me!

On the other hand, I've already printed the cartridges for two of the forthcoming games (although it'll be a few months before they're actually released - but they will be!) because, initially, we were going to release them all at the same time...
Before we decide anything, I'm going to try and rectify the problem.

Anyway, long live this range of consoles, even if fans are rare these days. But they are precious :)

Cyril could you reply to my PM or to the email I sent you? Thanks!

RayXambeR

Hi Dieter
Sorry, I really thought I'd already replied in PM. I'll get back to you straight away!

(EDIT : message sent. Let me know if it is ok?)

ccc---

Got the three games in the mail last week.

I haven't tried them out, but I noticed two things:

1) Why do "Relics of the Mad King" and "Demon Fire" have the same number "12234"?

2) The instruction booklets look nice but are very difficult to open and to read. They get wrinkled as soon as you open them. I have this problem with the books of all three games. Maybe better use staples.

RayXambeR

The same number is a little mistake. And about the manual, yes, we have already change our mind with a spiral. And also the box will be even better too. Internally we call it the "Premium v2" ;)
Thanks for your comments, we're always trying to improve.
In any case, I hope you enjoyed the games.

Luciano

I am having a great deal of trouble with my purchase. I have not received my games and they have not refunded my order as they decided, and now they do not even bother to respond. Unfortunately, I have no other alternative but to expose this here.
It is sad and ugly to do this to a collector who has been patiently and silently waiting for a solution since January. What a headache I am going through with these games.
Please Patrice, RayXambeR, do not do this to me.

RayXambeR

Luciano, can you check your email, he must have received an email from Tanuki.
If you haven't received anything, let me know via the forum.
We have non-delivery emails for you mailbox but the tanuki email should go through I think.
