Blowing up when your shields are showing is just plain frustrating.

Your shield is gray at first, you should wait until it turns blue.

I was able to turn this on while working at the weekend, playing by itself scored 104! All I'll say is that I had a few goes and didn't get to enter my own name in the high score  Sad

When I had a G7200 on my desk at work, this was the game I used to leave running  Smiley

Solving the problem with the "gray?s" would be really excellent. It seems that this was a big one for the Philips software designer in the past.

I've fixed it, it was quite easy.

I haven't mentioned this before but please feel free to add comments to past games of the month. I know we have some newbies and we would love to hear from them.

Here's my best so far, 357. Cool

UFO's fire three times as much if you happen to be firing as they arrive...

Good tip is to not fire at all and to move away from the UFO...
The shield does protect you from their fire, and can even blow it back into them, causing the UFO to explode!

Nice Smiley

At the risk of being judged for replying to a more-than-decade-old thread, I was playing 34+ hoping that someone noticed and possibly fixed this issue.  And look, the forums save the day!  Except the link is broken (yes, 10 years, I know).  I'm wondering if anyone still has vp_34pl_fix.zip and is willing to post it.
