the second from the right looks like the test-cart I have ...

Yes, this is a copy I've made of the testcart. Have you made a ROM dump of yours? I would like to compare them.

manopac

no, I haven't dumped it (yet) - how did you rebuild it ? do you know someone else who got one ?

(btw, mine has the paperwork, too ...)

what about the other carts ? (especially the leftmost)

Yes, I know someone who got one, but I think he wants to stay anonymous.

You would have known if you would have read GRGH's post (see previous page): The C7050 is my EEPROM version of the C7030 RAMcart, which means uploaded games won't get lost when you turn the power off. It has a 32k EEPROM, so more than 1 game can be stored (up to 8 games of 4k).

I downloaded everything from Soeren thinking that just maybe one day I'd build my own ramcart, and then you went and did this  :'(

The EEPROM cart might actually be easier to build than the RAMcart. I've used a regular cart and added a small piece of prototyping PCB. Besides the Eprom for the program and the EEprom for the games, only one TTL 7432 IC, one transistor and a few resistors are needed.

Ren? and I went to this Retrogame-event with some of our stuff.
Unfortunately the organisers didn't make any advertisements for it so there were very few visitors. Still we enjoyed ourselves by playing games and exchanging info. We actually played a lot with the BasicModule. Ren? had made a game from a french gamebook that we played a lot. I think it was called HelicopterBattle in french.
Accros our stand there was a demo of Guitarheroe playing all day - loudly - and we "enjoyed" that very much. It made talking to eachother a lot harder.

Still I want to share a picture of our stand :) I forgot to bring posters, that's why the walls in the background are so white.  :-[

All your collector items are belong to us!

To bad i couldn't come. Hopefully i'll be able to come next time.
8 bits of fun

I think this needs some more explanation:
There is a french book with a lot of games for the C7420 Basic module. I've scanned the Basic programs of this book, converted them to text, then converted them to sound files with my new tool. I connect the tape recorder input of the Basic module to the headphone output of my computer, then I play back the sound files on my computer. This way I can load the Basic programs/games into the C7420 module.

Ah yes... maybe my writing wasn't clear enough about that.

Great news, Janzl. Can you gave more details about the game, or even a screenshot. :D
Maybe better Ren? change his name to Ren? Van Den Ody ;).
